ABOUT SHOTETUT "WALKABOUT"

Shotetut, a new Reshet comedy series, follows the crew of a Rishon Letzion public access, community television channel. Needless to say, the channel operates on a very small budget and it's reflected in the programming. Since the boys have no budget for guests they have no alternative but to go out on the street seeking the "rich and famous" and, when they're lucky enough to find someone who fits that description, "ambush" them to be on the show!

The main characters are Asaf Rotem, an annoying, ambitious, typical North Tel Aviv yuppie and Aharon Shriki and Yaniv Benvenisti, cameramen who specialize in weddings, brits, Bar Mitzvahs and other social events. Moshe, the director of the channel, is Shriki’s uncle - and the reason the boys have the job.

In each episode, different celebrities appear as themselves. Their encounters with the trio are unforgettable, often bordering on the traumatic…and always funny! In the script (and often in actuality) the celebrities are not interested in being interviewed, are subjected to inferior recording conditions, unrelenting nagging from Assaf and, almost always, regret the moment when they agreed to participate in the program.

They may regret it but the audience definitely doesn't!

ABOUT THE EPISODE ON DRISHAT SHALOM VOLUME 2:

In this episode the trio tries its luck obtaining an interview with Yigal Shilon, the well-known producer, director and host of the hit TV show Fisfusim, a program Shilon conceived. Fisfusim has Candid Camera-like elements and is one of the most original and zany series on Israeli television.

While waiting for the very busy Shilon to find some time for them, the three walk around the studio grounds and, to their great delight, run into Meny Peer, the popular host of a talk show on Channel 1, and a close friend of Shilon's.

As to be expected with this bungling crew, disaster ensues but Meny remains calm, cool and collected, certain that he has merely been made the fall guy for one of Yigal's famous hoaxes…little does he know!
